Legal documents
These documents are provided for reference primarily by residents and solicitors. The section is intended to save time and money as fees are often charged for documents that we are able to make easily available. The Enfield Island Village Trust takes no responsibility for making sure these are the most up to date versions and if there is any uncertainty, you should check with the relevant organisation, such as the Land Registry or Companies House.
Your computer will need to be able to read pdf documents. If you need to install the free software, this can be downloaded from Adobe's website.
These are the proposed Memorandum and Articles of Association for the Enfield Island Village Trust as we apply for charitable status. This reflects what we have been doing since we were set up as a not for profit company and will increase the number of organisations we can go to for charitable funding and will improve the taxation arrangements so there is more money available to improve life on Enfield Island Village.
The island is protected by a number of covenants. The Enfield Island Village Trust takes action to ensure that these are not breached, given the practical and financial difficulties of these being enforced by individual homeowners.
The Estate Rentcharge is the basis, under the 1977 Rentcharges Act, for annual payments by homeowners on Enfield Island Village that support the Island's infrastructure and management. It is payable by leaseholders and freeholders.
Enfield Island Village Trust does not manage flats. However, we do try to act as a coordinating body for the different flat management companies on the island. The following three documents are the leases covering all flats on the island, except those on the island centre.
